Stained glass is a decorative art form and material consisting of colored glass pieces assembled into designs, traditionally held together by lead strips (cames) or, in modern techniques, copper foil. It is primarily used for windows, allowing light to pass through to create vivid, artistic, or religious, pictorial scenes, popular in churches, cathedrals, and homes

A mosaic is a decorative art form, design, or image created by arranging small, closely set pieces of colored material—such as stone, glass, tile, or ceramic (called tesserae)—into mortar or plaster. Dating back to Mesopotamia in the 3rd millennium BC, it is used for floor and wall surfaces, and metaphorically describes a composite picture made of distinct, varied parts.

Fused glass is the art of creating designs by layering compatible glass pieces and melting them together in a kiln at temperatures between 700°C and 820°C (1,292∘F - 1,510∘F). This process, often used to create jewelry, plates, and bowls, ranges from "tack fusing" (sticking pieces together) to "full fusing" (melting into a smooth, single piece).
